I was tasked with recreating an outdoor campaign for the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona's exhibition on sade, titled "sade: freedom or evil?" my goal was to make all citizens and tourists aware and curious about the exhibition, and ultimately draw in as many visitors as possible. My target audience was adults interested in culture, literature, sexuality and philosophy. The tonality was "provocative and daring." the last guideline of the assignment was that the CCCB logo must be visible.
When visiting, I quickly found out that the exhibit contained many provocative and disturbing images. The original billboard — a graphic of a banana and peach — seemed too innocent. This billboard leaves the images being displayed at the exhibition up to the imagination of the viewer whilst still displaying the museum’s logo and the exhibit's name.
I provided two versions of the poster, and possible locations for each.
