while working on the Oregon innovation challenge account, I helped develop interview questions for promotional content, focusing on past winners, their projects and the ongoing support they receive. The video highlights a past winner, showcasing their project and how OIC continues to support them even after securing funding.
The video received over 76,000 views and generated significant engagement, including 140 likes, 46 shares and 21 new follows, demonstrating its effectiveness in raising awareness and connecting with our audience.
As the copywriter, I helped develop the "Because" concept, chosen for its versatility and ability to resonate with viewers. Every entrepreneur has a reason — a "because" — behind their creation and innovation. The Oregon Innovation Challenge’s “because” is to support aspiring innovators and help bring those ideas to life — because potential is meant to be unlocked.
I came up with the idea for a mirror installation where people could take photos and tag the Oregon Innovation Challenge for a chance to be featured on our Instagram. I developed the copy "This is what an innovator looks like" and "This is the face of innovation," which was placed on the mirrors around the University of Oregon campus to encourage engagement and showcase the OIC community.
I wrote the copy for promotional materials, including t-shirts featuring the phrase "Ask me about my business" paired with the OIC logo. This call-to-action encouraged people to engage with participants, learn more about their ventures and helped promote the OIC brand.
